The Whispering Shadows – Horror eBook

THE WHISPERING SHADOWS

10-Page Horror Story

Page 1 — The Call

Aarav moved into a lonely house near the forest. At midnight, an old phone rang… even though it had no SIM card.

A whisper spoke: “Don’t look behind you…”

Page 2 — Footsteps

He heard slow footsteps outside his room. Muddy child-sized footprints were on the floor… leading from the forest into his house.

Page 3 — The Portrait

A portrait of a pale child appeared on the wall with empty eyes.

Someone scratched below: “He lives in the corner of your room.”

Page 4 — Moving Shadows

Shadows moved even when Aarav stood still. One shadow crawled up the wall like a spider.

Page 5 — The Knock

At 3:07 AM, knocking began—not from the door, but from inside the wardrobe.

Page 6 — The Wardrobe

Inside was only a small toy train that started running by itself. A faint voice whispered:

“Let me out…”

Page 7 — The Child

The portrait child appeared and whispered: “Hide. He’s coming.”

Aarav felt a cold shadow behind him.

Page 8 — The Monster

A tall, twisted shadow towered over him.

It whispered: “You answered my call.”

Page 9 — The Vanishing

Aarav tried to run, but the hallway stretched endlessly. The shadow engulfed him.

Page 10 — The Truth

Aarav woke up in a hospital. “You were alone,” the doctor said. “There was no child.”

“Then who called you?” Aarav asked.

The doctor whispered: “The child who saved you died 14 years ago.”
